This is a musical exploration of various aspects of my life over the last few years. Having lost everything including a good friend in a deadly house fire plus facing a global pandemic. Once I had a new guitar, I began writing soothing rhythms, chords, and melodies to counter the uncomfortable memories and situations. Most of the melodies and solos are improvised. The head parts in the fusion type pieces were preconceived or created as part of the arrangement. There is a heavy blues feel to many of these pieces largely simple chords and melodies with what I think are catchy rhythmic constructs. I’ve always loved improvised music, catching the emotion “on the spot” and going with gut feelings to drive the melodic and rhythmic narrative and I've always wanted to create a true solo album! I hope you find the music if not moving, at least enjoyable. A friend remarked "This is great driving music and a true solo project!" Enjoy!
